World Bank downgrades Nigeria’s 2026 economic growth to 4.1%

The World Bank has downgraded Nigeria’s economic growth projection to average of 4.1 percent in 2026. In October 2025, World Bank projected Nigeria’s economy will grow by 4.4 percent in 2026 and 2027. The bank also downgraded the projection for 2027 to 4.2 percent, while the growth forecast for 2028 was put at 4.3 percent.
